According to The Institute for College Access Success, 69% of WV college seniors are graduating with student loan debt with an average of $29,353 per borrower.1 And this is only student loan debt. We know that many, if not most, of those same students are carrying significant credit card debt as well.
Now more than ever, it is important that all students are prepared to make informed financial decisions as they enter college or career. That means providing West Virginia’s students, their parents, and their teachers with the resources necessary to acquire this knowledge and information.
